You Deserve It. We’ll Help You Build It.
1 Why do I need a third act coach?
Who are you when your identity, sense of purpose, and social networks are no longer defined by your career? What fills up your time and provides meaning when you no longer need or want to go to the office each day?
Consider Olympic athletes: they are pre-eminent in their field but still require a coach to bring out their best performances. The same is true of the golf and tennis pros you admire. The same is true for you.
For the last third of your life, are you comfortable meandering along with the currents, following the path of least resistance? Or, would you prefer a well-designed game plan that includes your favorite people and most satisfying activities?
2 What will a coach do for me?
A seasoned coach is a trustworthy, experienced confidant who supports, encourages, and guides you as you explore possibility and manifest your future. Where are you now, where do you want to be, and what specific steps will bridge the gap?
Great musicians hire talented producers. Famous authors partner with skillful editors. The list of successful professionals whose careers blossomed as a result of working with a mentor is long and storied. Good coaches serve a similar function.
3 How does coaching work?
Imagine meeting up with a trusted friend and great listener to talk about a problem at work, at home, or with your health. Working with Michael Rose Coaching is very much like that. But rather than the occasional one-off, these intimate chats are a regular occurrence. Discussions focus on the issues that are top of mind for you, review of progress or challenges with exercises and activities, and alignment on next steps that will move you down the path.
Three attributes to expect from your coach:
- An experienced and empathetic sounding board
- A professional with the knowledge, skill, and tools to help you navigate from where you are to where you want to be
- An understanding and compassionate accountability partner who knows when and how to push back
It’s not about how you spend your money,
it’s how you spend your time.
Foundations of Fulfillment
To create a third act that is completely customized and profoundly rewarding, we rely on a framework called Foundations of Fulfillment. This system allows us to zero-in on the specific third act experiences that are most important to you. While carrying forward the best of the life you live now, we’ll eliminate that which no longer serves. We’ll find space for the interests that have been put on the shelf. We’ll remind you of the activities that brought you so much joy when you were younger and reimagine them for this new period of unbridled opportunity and self-expression. We’ll help you create the next chapter you deserve!
Think of the foundations as a collection of paints and brushes used to create a masterpiece on the canvas of your third act. Vitality, joy and connection are waiting to be expressed through your brush strokes. Meaning and purpose live within these choices. Here you will ensure intellectual engagement – expressing your knowledge and skill in a more relaxed way that harmonizes with the other aspects of life you have prioritized. The twinkle in your eye and the relaxed smile on your face come from the artful way you blend color and form as you create your future.
